Final Fantasy XIII - Max Out Forum Review

The Storyline of Final Fantasy XIII is amazing. It is one of the best Final Fantasy storylines yet. The plot is extremely strong and the characters have great back stories. I would compare Final Fantasy XIII to an interactive film. When I played through the game I didn’t notice any errors in the plot. It’s flawless.

Storyline: 10/10

The graphics are crazily good on this game. Many times during the game I thought it was real. When watching the advert for the first time I thought it was real. The movements of the characters and monsters are fluid and realistic. Although the running can sometimes be unrealistic. Still I stand by the fact that it is the most graphically detailed game so far.

Graphics: 10/10

The soundtrack for this game is very disappointing. Most of the tracks are annoying and quite frankly need to be redone. There are a few good tracks. But they don’t make up for the rest. They need a soundtrack like the one off Final Fantasy X. I really don’t get it. It was the same composer for both games, yet he managed to make the music worse.

Soundtrack: 6/10

The controls are very simple. The manual is thorough in every way. You can’t not get the controls within the first ten minutes. There is also a tutorial each time you unlock a new control. Only problem is that camera control can be unpredictable. It ranges from super sensitive to uber unresponsive.

I got to chapter 5 and the linear-ness just overwhelmed me. I couldn't carry on.

Oh so you would like to go back and kill things with 70 health when the hardest boss has 98 million.

Ye, It does seem to be a bit too linear.

I will probably pick it up sometime in the future to play it when I feel the need to boost my gamerscore again. I haven't played for gamerscore in a longggggg time

ahh this is an awesome game, im in the gran pulse flat land thing with the beasty monster things. I tried battlin one and just got destroyed i dno how far i am from the end, but so far its amazin

Completed the main Storyline. Now I'm running around on Gran Pulse again. Training to take on Long Gui.
