Bungie signs 10 year deal with Activision
Bungie have signed a 10 year deal with Activision to create a brand new series. It is still unknown what exactly this new series will be, but Bungie and Activision are saying to expect ‘Something you’ve never seen before!’
Bungie’s new 10 year deal which has been signed with Activision means that Bungie will be developing for other consoles for the first time since their 1997 release of Oni, which is big news for Bungie fans. Bungie fans shouldn’t worry because unlike Modern Warfare Bungie have negotiated a deal in which Bungie have complete control over what they develop and Activision has exclusivity with publishing the final product, so it will still be the recognisable feel of Bungie’s work, but published with Activision’s help.
Even though no details have been released about how often sequels will be released analytics are predicting that gamers can expect an edition every 2 years from the duo.
Don’t worry 360 fans as Microsoft has announced that relationships between them and Bungie are still very strong, and they are engaged with the development of Halo: Reach, which is expected to be the biggest game of 2010! Also, Halo fans need not worry as Bungie intends to continue its post-retail releases with Halo: Reach for a while.
