I was considering buying this on the PC, but I have never played the original so I am not sure what to make of it really

I never got the original either tbf. My brother got it for my birthday and it was pretty good a bit short and you spent ages driving but the PS3 add ons look pretty awesome and it has a decent storyline and some excellent gameplay.
