I thouroughly enjoyed playing Soul Silver. It brought back memories of my earlier childhood when I used to play Crystal every morning before school. And though I've logged considreably less hours on Game Freak's newest remake for the franchise, I would still highly recommend it due to the improved graphics and gameplay elements.

Is the franchise now dying? Is a revival to come? Thoughts?

No, Pokemon will live on always as a classic.

They will probably make a new one pretty soon. All pokemon games have been brilliant, they need to stop making pokemon and just stick to the games.

Yeah, Development for two new games, Pokemon Black and White, is already almost done ready for a schedules release of Autumn 2010 in Japan.

Is it all new pokemon?

I wish they would just return to the classic pokemon the originals and stop adding new pokemon, theres enough already

LOL yeah I think I agree you know. The scans of the new legendaries seams kinda generic, you know. I think they should make a decent, high end graphically, RPG game. It would attract more users if the graphics were better I think because all of the strategy gameplay of gold is in Pokemon games.

Pokemon Ruby and Saphire were the best I think, because they had good pokemon and good graphics, so it wasn't too OTT

I really liked Platinum for some reason because I really liked how you had access to EVERY pokemon in the series without having to trade much. Plus, it had a BEASTY world map compared to previous games. However, Crystal was still the best IMO.

I frankly don't care at all if they add new pokemon or not, what they need to do is create a completely new storyline for the game. I'm bored of the generic "get 8 badges to get to the pokemon league, while stopping some generic baddies from taking over the world" formula. But I don't want it to end up like Pokemon Colosseum, either.

ZOMG heart gold and soul silver are blasphemy Original gold and silver are the best. Pokemon yellow is undoubtedly the best though.

Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Snap on the N64. Those were easily the best.

I only ever got the handheld games. I liked to stay true to the original series lol.

I didn't say I got them all, when i did get a pokemon game, it was on the handheld systems.

I think pokemon's getting a bit repetitve tbf, i mean ive played every generation and completed it because lets face it, it's pokemon, you just gotta but yeah it needs to be put into like a different format

Ah it's only complete if caught them all.

and got the shiny versions of every pokemon, and got their stats as high as they can go on every pokemon, and caught every pokemon and have them all at once, each one level 100. And you've gotten every single medal possible. On every pokemon. And you have the maximum number of battle points at the battle area.

Nobody will ever complete pokemon.

Lol plus you've got contests in the new ones. then you gotta get 999x or every berry, pokeball type, Tm, evolution stones, vitamins and other items. And apricorns in silver/gold.
